What have I been working on?
It has been a month! I know it has been a long time, but I could get a lot of work done. My side job kept me busy, but gave me time to finish my 3rd book the 2nd arc of the Fabled Elephants. I am waiting on my cover artist before releasing it. He’s been having timing issues, but I am okay with it because I love his work and trust him. I hope the book can come out soon. That being said, I have a pretty overarching outline for the next installment for the 3rd arc. Introducing more Elephants and hitting on some rough topics of slavery during the middle ages. Excited to write that.
Speaking of slavery… Bad transition? My Sunday serial will return to its normal schedule and has chapters already outline out, and some written. There isn’t a lot more ahead of that short story, but the climax is awesome in my mind (I’m slightly biased). If you haven’t read the Sunday serial, I post it on Sundays and it's in a blue background.. Or! You can see full chapters in my blog. Fair warning it is a darker story and not for everyone, somewhat gothic/dark fantasy.
Where was I? Well I was over in Italy doing work and enjoying the sites. Had amazing food and good company. A couple of guys and I explored, and I got inspired for a lot of writing. I almost visited the site of my first book, but with scheduling and how hard it was to get there it unfortunately fell through. Next time though, I’ll make that a priority.
What are my upcoming goals?
Well! Obviously I can’t wait to get you guys the next story. But I would love to finish that Sunday serial as well and get that put out in full. It’ll need a bunch of editing and cleaning up, but what doesn’t right? I am amid starting my 3rd arch for the Flying Elephants and really want to get that written in the next month, then take 2-4 weeks editing it until I’m happy with it. With my artist working on a cover right now he has alternate designs as well that will be for the entire series of books to “bind” them together and give them that connected feel. So delays will be purely on me which means I better get writing.
Have you met my chihuahuas?
Man did I miss my pups! It was so sad to hear my one red dog Simba wasn’t really smiling at all anymore because that’s what we know him for! Big smiles! When I came home Simba and Pippen were all over me and Simba even wailed (I think he was mad I left for so long). Both were super cute and all over me for the weekend. Happy to be back and able to play with them. It’s snowing here too! So they’ve been having a blast, though this week it’s supposed to be freezing! Like -20 type weather. I’ll be looking for doggie booties for them because they already have an issue when it's 10 outside.
My Mission
This part of the blog will change very little if at all every couple weeks. My mission may evolve but the end is just the same. I want to create stories to entice emotions whether sadness, happiness and everything in-between. Atop of creating moving stories I want to connect with you the reader and more to build a supportive community that feeds its members with positive energy. My long-term goal besides writing for a living is to give back in a way I understand and that is with food. We all come together in groups around food and I want to nourish that culture and help those who can’t do this. I want to help feed the families suffering from hunger and villages around the globe. By bringing food and communities together. I hope I can do this and can bring more with me on this mission. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
