Just Keep Swimming

What have I been working on?

I’ve gotten the review in and people are enjoying The Fabled Elephants. This is exciting! I added an epilogue to the story and made a few tweaks within it to bring out better characterization of Elizabeth. On top of that I have rewritten 90% of my first novel The Lord Deal and will finish it up this week! A third thing! Those short story Sunday’s have continued, and I finished another chapter that releases today. We’re really touching that dark fantasy aspect.

I have put more into the outline for the 2nd iteration of The Fabled Elephants. Got researching done on the topic. Taking some Chinese history and melding into Dracula’s history. Just a hint of what to expect the next time we see Shadow and Elizabeth.

Last night I went to the Game of Thrones experience with my wife and wow! Such great powerful music, the vocals were stunning. When they touched my favorite scene where Cersei wins (you know the one) it floored me. It really inspired more epic scenes in my mind and really wanting to push the envelope on a few characters.

What are my upcoming goals?

I wanted to release both The Lords Deal and The Fabled Elephants next Sunday. I have not yet heard from my cover artist and am not sure if we make that timeline. I would love to still launch this month so I am looking at the 28th of October and crossing my fingers. I know I could buy a cover that’s been premade for $25 but after working with this artist on my last cover and seeing the result; I think it’ll be worth it waiting possibly two more weeks. With that said I will have both stories completed and then be able to write the next arc of The Fabled Elephants.

Again The Fabled Elephants will come free with The Lords Deal. I think everyone deserves a thank you for their support. My phone broke this week so my Instagram posts have been lacking. Come Monday I will replace it and everything should continue as normal. This also means I lost a bunch of photos of the dogs ☹

Have you met my chihuahuas?

Pippen and Simba have been doing great, mostly. Yesterday turned into a thing when Pippen rolled around in who knows what and smelled up our bedsheets something awful. So after two baths and gigantic loads of laundry we get the smell out and all is well. Simba has training classes! Simba has improved a lot with instructions around the house and outside in our backyard. Once we put him on the leash and for a walk? Im holding back a muscle car and he keeps choking himself with his body harness. So my wife and I decided we should look into more training with him. Here’s hoping it works out!

My Mission

This part of the blog will change very little if at all every couple weeks. My mission may evolve but the end is just the same. I want to create stories to entice emotions whether sadness, happiness and everything in-between. Atop of creating moving stories I want to connect with you the reader and more to build a supportive community that feeds its members with positive energy. My long-term goal besides writing for a living is to give back in a way I understand and that is with food. We all come together in groups around food and I want to nourish that culture and help those who can’t do this. I want to help feed the families suffering from hunger and villages around the globe. By bringing food and communities together. I hope I can do this and can bring more with me on this mission. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
