What have I been working on?
The Fabled Elephants! I have completely edited 80% of the story now! I have also handed it out to Beta Readers to see how they enjoy the concept. I am excited to hear positive reactions and getting a good criticism. Still no word from my cover artists. I will follow up with him in a couple days to see where we’re at. At this rate I will finish the story before October and I would love to get readers to look over the book before launching.
Second blog! Haha, it’s been interesting keeping notes of things I’ve been doing. If you haven’t seen on Sundays I put up a short story on my Instagram. Now and then I have a desire to write something different, but the same universe. My story about Master K K and his two slaves Grace and Sin is now 4 posts deep. It’s a fun break and different from my other work.
With how excited I have been with The Fabled Elephants I may work on the second novella to follow that before fulling diving into the next large story of The Lords Deal. Most likely what I’ll do is alternate day to day and with how much shorter The Fabled Elephants is, I will complete it sooner.
My rewrites of The Lords Deal are coming along. Some of it has been harder than my other stories. They are first person and this is third person. Sometimes I find myself in the wrong POV. Everything is coming along, though, and I hope to finish that before Oct. 17th.
What are my upcoming goals?
I would like to continue to bring these Sunday stories to you and bring depth into the universe. Once I finish that small arc I’ll most likely put it all together in an E-book for ease of reading. It will be like a novella as it’s about a single day in the life. With how busy some of my days have been I am not sure if I will complete both The Lords Deal and Fabled Elephants in 7 days, but I’m trying.
Still trying to plan out the rest of the fall coming up. With my job and side job I may find sometime to travel. Maybe heading back to Europe for a month for work, which would be nice. It’s a great writing atmosphere.
Once I get The Lords Deal completed, I will place the story on my website. Launching with it will be The Fabled Elephants for free! I want to bring you a fun story and really look forward to hearing your responses.
Have you met my chihuahuas?
We had a blast with Pippen and Simba at their birthday! Pippen turning 1 and Simba turning 2. It’s been nearly a year since we’ve adopted Pippen and it was great seeing them having a blast with the whole family. Pumpkin bone cake and peanut butter cupcakes for them while the rest of us watched their eyes grow. Simba devoured the cupcakes in two bites! He was so excited. To top it all off were toys on toys on toys. Their new favorite being a stump filled with squirrels and a chameleon with an unraveling tail.
My Mission
This part of the blog will change very little if at all every couple weeks. My mission may evolve but the end is just the same. I want to create stories to entice emotions whether sadness, happiness and everything in-between. Atop of creating moving stories I want to connect with you the reader and more to build a supportive community that feeds its members with positive energy. My long-term goal besides writing for a living is to give back in a way I understand and that is with food. We all come together in groups around food and I want to nourish that culture and help those who can't do this. I want to help feed the families suffering from hunger and villages around the globe. By bringing food and communities together. I hope I can do this and can bring more with me on this mission. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
