No Capes!

What have I been working on?

Oh, it’s been a rough couple of weeks. Some days waking up and taking care of the dogs was all I got done. My writer suffered and I’ve only finished more than half of my 2nd Elephants book. Progress is something but still feeling behind. I added more to my serial which I feel is going well and only takes about 45mins of my week. My biggest problem is I check my book sales every day, check my marketing every day and make alterations to my marketing every day, atop of doing my Instagram daily posts. These are all good things, but they take time out of my writing so it’s a catch-22.

Some good news though! I got a trip with my side job sending me away for a month. It’ll be starting the new year and give me some decent time to write and study for my promotional exam. But way before then! We got Thanksgiving coming up! I’m excited to get a couple of days with my in-laws and recoup. Definitely looking to finish another 25% of the 2nd book.

What are my upcoming goals?

I am looking for a temporary cover for my 2nd book. Waiting on funding from the other two books to have a proper cover made. I love the work my guy does with the past 2 covers, and I want to make sure I pay him what he’s worth. As I stated a moment ago my aim is to have 75% of the book done. By next posting at least 90% done. Here’s to hoping I get my groove back after a rough couple of weeks.

Have you met my chihuahuas?

Pippen has turned into a real bum lately! He’s been taking a half hour to eat his food and just likes lying around a lot. With the snow though both have come alive. When we got Pippen last year he was only 4 months old, and the snow was as tall as he was. He wasn’t a fan, but he’s rolling and digging in it fine. Simba doesn’t mind it either, but he tries (and fails) to hop over patches of snow. The two have been working on sharing as Pippen likes everything Simba has and Simba is tired of it. Nothing time outside doesn’t cure.

My Mission

This part of the blog will change very little if at all every couple weeks. My mission may evolve but the end is just the same. I want to create stories to entice emotions whether sadness, happiness and everything in-between. Atop of creating moving stories I want to connect with you the reader and more to build a supportive community that feeds its members with positive energy. My long-term goal besides writing for a living is to give back in a way I understand and that is with food. We all come together in groups around food and I want to nourish that culture and help those who can’t do this. I want to help feed the families suffering from hunger and villages around the globe. By bringing food and communities together. I hope I can do this and can bring more with me on this mission. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
