I suffer from short-term memory loss. It runs in my family. At least I think it does… Hm. Where are they?

What have I been working on?

It’s launched! When Elephants Fly has launched and is now available on Kindle. What that means too is I have started the next chapter of The Fabled Elephants series code named “A Castles Bane”. It’ll probably change, but we’ll see. It’s a story about Mountains Bane, if you’ve read my first book The Marble Crown then you’ve met this giant man from the east. Well before he was a Flying Elephant, he was a self-serving mercenary that defends his home city from “Mo” or other mystical creatures (trolls, earth dragons, behemoths) from ransacking the city. When he comes home, he finds his family has been killed by blood suckers (yes I too enjoy vampires). When he finds out where they came from he heads west to Poenari Castle. Meanwhile Shadow and Elizabeth (Queen Midas) head east to find Bane but first stop off at a dwarven city to forge Midas’ new weapon.

I have a few parts done and have put in a ton of research to make this as historically accurate as possible. I’m adding fantasy and a few changes but still recognizable. Who’s the bad guy? It may have to do with a certain group of evil beings…

I also put up the third chapter of my Sunday Serial, From Condemned to Graced. Our newly stolen slave has been given a new name, Grace. How will she adjust to her new life with her Master and Sin?

I hope to finish writing A Castles Bane in a couple weeks, like 2 weeks and then start the editing process and loaning it out. I need to get working on that!

What are my upcoming goals?

As I stated a second ago, I want to finish this second book pretty soon. Of course not rushing it. In two weeks I will email my newsletter sign ups to see who is interested in an early edition that’s not edited. Atop of that I have been doing research in my community for opportunities to give back in my area, so I hope to give more of my time. My side job is always coming up and I hope soon to get another trip for a couple weeks because it pays well and with Christmas coming up… But first Thanksgiving. Im at Starbucks writing this and very sad to see red cups.

Have you met my chihuahuas?

Simba has been doing fantastic in his classes, and we are learning he is a little spoiled. So Pippen will listen to the command down anywhere and I mean anywhere. Simba? If he is on a cushion he will do down, nowhere else. That’s fine though, overall he is doing great. We didn’t get to socialize him last weekend like we wanted; they canceled the event, so hopefully soon. The wife still brings up wanting a third dog. I’m working on convincing her to wait till we at least move in a couple years.

My Mission

This part of the blog will change very little if at all every couple weeks. My mission may evolve but the end is just the same. I want to create stories to entice emotions whether sadness, happiness and everything in-between. Atop of creating moving stories I want to connect with you the reader and more to build a supportive community that feeds its members with positive energy. My long-term goal besides writing for a living is to give back in a way I understand and that is with food. We all come together in groups around food and I want to nourish that culture and help those who can’t do this. I want to help feed the families suffering from hunger and villages around the globe. By bringing food and communities together. I hope I can do this and can bring more with me on this mission. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
